Course 2- Inner World, Outer World and Jnanendriyas.
The organs of perception may act as a yoga bridge connecting the inner world and the outer world and vice versa.
How we experience both the inner world and outer world through yoga may be transformative.
In this course we will expand upon this idea, and witness it in life, along with the practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation.
The five organs of perception- jnanendriyas, are the eyes, the ears, the nose, the tongue and the skin. They each hold a power of perception that draws us out or when cultivated, lead us inwards. The yoga techniques associated with bringing them inwards are key to the practice of yoga, and required for pranayama and meditation.
In everyday contemporary life the organs of perception have become overstimulated. This may be due to increased screen time or over flavored food. We will learn to relax and sooth the jnanedriyas thru correct yoga practice and ayurveda and witness the transformation in life.
The niyama- five personal observances for wellness of the self, will be explored as they pertain to the organs of perception.
